Life story

Born in United States Paterson,NJ on January 27, 1982.

Richard W. Moore passed away on February 5, 2006 at the age of 24.

Rich and I grew up in a little town called Vernon. We were brother and sister but we had a relationship of being best friends. We loved each other so much. We did for each other, we hung out with one another, we covered each others butt. He covered mine more often than I 'd like to say. We lived with our Dad, he raised us. Yep, the three of us. Our Dad taught us all about the important things in life. How to love, know God, be respectful, and to be financially responsible. Rich purchased his own home at the age of 22 in Wantage NJ.  He worked for TMB Contracting company and he loved his job. He loved snowboarding, having a good time!  He was a hard worker, a great friend. He was such a sweet person with a golden heart. He would give you the shirt off his back. He didn't take any bull from anyone, he basically told you like it was. He had a  perfect smile and the most beautiful blue eyes! Rich chose a path out of this life for reasons we do not have answers for. At least not now.  He will be forever remembered and held close to our hearts each and everyday!  We love and miss you Richard W. Moore!  More than you know! Until we meet again Rich, keep us in your wings!

A wife who loses a husband is called a widow.  A husband who loses a wife is called a widower.  A child who loses his parents is called an orphan.  But...there is no word for a parent who loses a child; that's how awful the loss is!

When a parent dies; you lose your past.  When a child dies; you lose your future!

A Birthday Wish sent to Heaven “What we have enjoyed we can never lose… All that we love deeply becomes apart of us” Helen Keller

Dearest Rich,

Where do we begin or what words do we use to express the unbearable pain that is in our hearts! How lonely our lives have been without you Rich! We have shared so many tears. We have asked so many questions but no answers. Yes, I always told you not to question God’s plan for us, but we too have asked God Why? Why my son, my brother? You were everything to us; you brought us such joy and happiness. I was so proud to call you my son, and Nicole couldn’t have been prouder to say you were her brother, you were her best friend! We were the three musketeers. We didn’t have much but we had each other and the love that we shared.

There is not a day that goes by Rich that we don’t think of you. You are my first thought of the day, my last when I go to sleep at night and so many times in between. It is almost a year since you left us. We cannot believe it is almost year since we have seen your beautiful smile, your sky blue eyes, felt your strong hold in a hug or heard your voice. We hold you near in our hearts and we want you to know that you live on in us through the memories you left behind. You have taught us that life is short but yet it is not the length of life it is the depth of that life that is important.

Each day as I turn the corner onto route 517 home from work, I see your truck in the driveway. I say to myself, Rich has stopped by to say hello and reality sets in. I haven’t even brought myself to clean the inside of the truck because it has the presence of you. I take it out for a ride every now and then as well as Nicole. I listen to your cd’s all the time. I watch home videos and stare at your pictures. I kept the fire going in the house for as long as I could until it was too hot because I know how much you loved the fire. I go up to your house and set a fire in the fire pit outside when I am cutting the lawn. Now that winter is coming again, I have even started one in the wood burning stove in your house.

Nicole hates the dark and never wants to go to sleep. Her heart is aching so, yet she tries so hard to be strong. We put your house for sale, but I am not sure if you are trying to tell us something because no one has looked at it yet and it has been a few months. It is tough for me to swing both homes so you have to help me out a little.

Your friends stop buy every now and then a lot of times when I am at your house. Joey has come up and chopped wood with me to help me out and always offers assistance. It has been rough on your friends. I enjoy seeing and talking to them. They miss you Rich!

Nanook is with your cousins Rich and Jamie. They take good care of her and we get to see her when we want.

Nicole and I both got tattoos. As much as I fought you on yours, I couldn’t help myself. I kept your appointment for you. I could see you laughing over that one. The family misses you so very much.

The holidays have been rough with out you. We know that you are in Heaven with God, your cousin Mike, and your grandparents. We also know that you are not in any pain anymore and you are at peace. However, it doesn’t make it any easier to accept that you are not here with us.

You were the essence of kindness, and compassion. You loved unconditionally and had a heart of gold. You were a human being of such unique qualities. You were simply a sweetheart and a loving boy. We feel cheated that you were taken from us so young but yet we must be thankful that you were apart of us.

On January 27, 2007 you would be 25 years old. Happy Birthday Son! We are asking your family and friends to stop by the house. We will celebrate in honor of you! If they are not able to come by then, I ask everyone to just take a moment to think of you, say a prayer for you, think of special memory that they may have had with you and I am sure Nicole will have a beer for you as well as your cousins and friends. On February 5, 2007 it will be your first anniversary into Heaven, your first heavenly birthday. One year not to see you seem so long. But 25 years to have you seems so short! We are trying so hard but we miss you so very much! There will be a mass celebrated in your honor at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church Hewitt, NJ on February 3, 2007 5:00 p.m. Family and friends are welcome to attend.

RIP R.W.M 1/27/82 - 2/05/06 God bless you Rich!

Until we meet again soon know how very much we love you!
